This kit focuses on building, medial and ending sounds in words. Students use manipulatives such as letter tiles to build consonant-short vowel-consonant (CVC) words stemming from both pictures and objects. A 3-D Phonics Bingo game is also a part of this kit showing objects that represent 3 sound words. Educators can begin by showing an object or image that represents a CVC word, and students can then tap the sounds within the words, map the sounds with non-letter placeholders and finally build the words with foam letters that are provided or other letter manipulatives. Letters, objects, and pictures can also be used as communication tools for learners who use direct selection, switches, or eye gaze to communicate their choices.
