This series of books and supplemental materials kit gives an overview of the coming together of diverse groups of peoples and their cultures. In 4th grade students will begin to study the native people of North America and early colonization as part of US history. This text set will help students better understand the perspectives of these diverse groups. Informational texts help provide details about geographic locations of settlements and additional details of both native Americans and settlers who were trying to colonize North America. This kit contains curricular materials including vocabulary supports and activity ideas. The kit also contains sample audio books and music from the time period to enjoy.
