ASRS (Autism Spectrum Rating Scale)

The ASRS is designed to help identify symptoms, behaviors and associated features of ASD. The ASRS is aligns with the DSM-5 characteristics of ASD. Using a Likert scale, parents and teachers are asked to evaluate how often they observe specific behaviors. There are two forms: the short form designed for ages 2-5 consists of 15 items; the long form designed for ages 6-18 consists of 71 items. Key areas measured include social/communication, unusual behaviors, self-regulation, peer socialization, adult socialization, atypical language, stereotypy, behavioral rigidity, sensory sensitivity, attention/self-regulation and attention. Administration time ranges from 5 minutes for short form to 15 minutes for full form.  (Requires special credentials to access - Level 3.)
