The GARS-3 is used to diagnosis Autism Spectrum Disorder. Items based on the GARS-3 are based on the 2013 diagnostic criteria for ASD. The assessment consists of 56 items describing characteristic behaviors of persons with ASD. Six subscales include: Restrictive/Repetitive Behaviors, Social Interaction, Social Communication, Emotional Responses, Cognitive Style and Maladaptive Speech. Designed for individuals ranging in age from three to 22. Administration time ranges from five to 10 minutes. (Requires special credentials to access - Level 3.)
