A developmental bio-psychosocial framework for the early identification, assessment, preventive intervention, and treatment of children with bipolar patterns. The goals for this work are to explore a new understanding of bipolar patterns in children made possible by using a developmental lens, and to formulate a more complete, developmentally-based bio-psychosocial, model which intervening developmental organizations can deepen our understanding of both psychopathology and healthy adaptation.
