The beginning switch scanning kit is a nice option for individuals that are just beginning to move from direct select to scanning. It includes a variety of devices from single-message devices to a dedicated device that provides 12 separate vocabulary buttons. All devices can be accessed via direct selection or a switch. The Hummingbird communication device is a scanning, direct selection, communication device designed for use by individuals with communication challenges and limited motor skills. This single- or dual-switch scanning communicator features visual and auditory scanning, 12-location overlays, and three levels of messages with eight minutes of recording time. The items in this kit include the following: Hummingbird, iTalk2, Step-by-Step with levels, Big Mack single message switch, 2 elipse switches.
